Give Me Shelter:

‘Moving collection of 11 powerful narratives, quite different in their particulars but astonishingly similar in their sense of loss and loneliness.’
School Library Journal

This collection of short stories by different writers is about people who have been forced to leave their homes or families to seek help and shelter elsewhere. My story is called ‘The Final Border’; it describes just one stage in a boy’s long journey to find a new home and is based on talks I had with border guards and migrants on the Ukrainian border.

‘An eye-opening collection, which will hopefully evoke empathy and understanding amongst all who read it.’

‘Most of all, we learn of the loneliness of being a refugee in a strange country… This book is shot through with rays of hope that are humbling in their intensity.’
